What trials recorded

Stomach side effects were common

The studies give a clear picture of common stomach problems. They leave gaps around less common events.

Cagrilintide status checked: September 2026.

The combination caused frequent stomach trouble

In the main trial, about 55 in 100 people on CagriSema reported nausea. The dummy group reported it at about 13 out of 100.

Vomiting affected about 26 out of every 100 CagriSema participants and about 4 out of 100 in the other group. Most stomach problems were mild or moderate and passed.

Cagrilintide alone had the same broad pattern

In an earlier cagrilintide-only trial, stomach problems affected about 41 to 63 in 100 people, depending on the amount tested. The dummy-shot group was about 32 in 100.

Reactions where the shot entered the skin were also among the common problems in that trial.

The missing list matters

There is no FDA label for cagrilintide or CagriSema. The FDA has not reviewed a label saying who should not use either product, what is known about pregnancy, or how either product may interact with other drugs.
